Madison Youth and Family Services is an agency established in 1983 by the Town of Madison. It is charged with the development and delivery of a range of services for the young people of Madison and their families. The agency exists to foster the healthy development of the children of Madison and their families through progressive programs that offer prevention, community coordination and treatment services. ANNOUNCEMENTSCommunity ConnectionsMadison Youth and Family Services is happy to announce the start of a program through which adults from Madison with mentor local teenagers. Our goal is to reach youth who otherwise might not connect with community programs. We need interested and committed adults and teens for approximately one hour a week to make this program successful. For further information please call Melissa Balletto at 245-5656. Summer Camp Scholarships AvailableMadison Community Services kindly allotted funds to assist families in need with scholarship money for summer camp. Through the generosity of the Town’s Beach and Recreation Department, they are able to provide a reduced rate for their “Summer Escape” program. For information on this and other programs available please contact Wendy Larson at 245-5655. Summer ProgramsCommunity Service Training, sponsored by Madison Youth and Family Services will take place on July 1 – 2nd. The training is available to students in grades 7 - 12 that are interested in becoming more involved in and connected to their community. Once the training is complete students will have the opportunity to volunteer at various locations. Peer Support Group for Boys Adapting to DivorceDivorce, by it’s very nature, transforms and redefines families forever. All kids face new challenges and develop coping strategies to deal with their transforming families. Much of this unfolds slowly, quietly despite the fact that it raises new questions and issues with each new life stage.
